Driven by an untamable curiosity for life, Richard Hughes approaches filmmaking as a process of discovery, seeking to understand the people, stories, and details that make each moment feel real.

With a foundation built equally in production and editing, his work is shaped as much in the timeline as it is on set. Every cut, rhythm, and transition is intentional, crafting films that feel cohesive, immersive, and true to the story. Working across film, digital, and mixed media, he brings a design-minded approach to each project, blending texture, composition, and motion to create visually refined work grounded in authenticity.

Influenced early on by skateboarding, Richard developed a guerrilla-style, get-it-done mentality, learning to adapt quickly, work with what’s available, and find creativity in unpredictability. That mindset continues to inform his approach: nimble, resourceful, and always focused on capturing something honest.

Eleventh House Media was built as an extension of that philosophy, a space dedicated to creative, cinematic, documentary-driven storytelling. Guided by curiosity and intention, the work is driven by a commitment to fully understand each story and tell it with clarity, depth, and truth.
